Beautiful Princeton with its world famous university and lots of pharmaceutical companies around was the location of the FlexX-Docking-Workshop this year. Princeton was the obvious choice for us, not only for its conveniently close proximity to Philadelphia, where right afterwards the ACS-Fall Meeting started.
As a novelty this was a joint workshop performed together with colleagues from Tripos Inc. Together we facilitated two very constructive and enjoyable days for the participants and provided useful information for everyone from novice to experienced user.
After our success in 2003 we aimed again at providing our participants with a closer insight into docking methodologies using our FlexX-Suite of programs, from an actual user perspective. Over the two day period the workshop covered the theoretical usage of FlexX and this knowledge was then put to the test in actual working examples. The emphasis on hands-on experience was helpful in understanding the potential of FlexX.
