The Premier Scientific Solution Provider
BioSolveIT Software successfully applied at Bayer Schering Pharma AG

BioSolveIT GmbH and Bayer Schering Pharma AG recently inked a license agreement to ensure the Pharma giant's continued access to a suite of virtual screening software by BioSolveIT. The long-standing partnership, however, goes way beyond mere licensing. In the past, both companies already completed several successful collaboration projects. For example a leap forward has been made by allowing the docking of combinatorial libraries while simultaneously considering pharmacophore constrains. The unique and powerful solution to this challenge did not only satisfy the needs of the project but also led to a scientific publication in the Journal of Computer-Aided Molecular Design. "We can be proud of our track record of successful projects with Bayer Schering Pharma", comments Dr. Christian Lemmen, CEO of BioSolveIT, "this partnership exactly fits our strategy of collaborative development projects designed to address the most pressing needs in pharma research".

BioSolveIT GmbH has vast experience in the development and implementation of virtual screening software, which often proves critical in application projects. For example scientists at Bayer Schering Pharma recently used the fast and efficient FlexS superposition technology for small molecule alignment to successfully identify high affinity peptidomimetic compounds in a large dataset. Which was indeed a significant achievement in an ongoing project, according to Dr. Nikolaus Heinrich from Bayer Schering Pharma. Moreover, the latest advances in GUI-technology are noteworthy. Dr. Lemmen: "Not only do we deliver excellent science, but also comfortable and easy access allowing Pharma scientists to focus totally on the application; BioSolveIT software has always been an integral part of the virtual screening efforts at Bayer Schering Pharma. With the recent agreements, they can expect more productivity leaps in the future".
